Parker is helping to ensure safe refueling at the new gas station for …

azerbaijanParker was recently contacted by ENERAZ LLC, an engineering subcontractor of Azpetrol Ldt. LLC, Azerbaijan’s largest gas station operator, to provide critical CNG underground piping for the brand new CNG bus service station in Baku.

With its 14 CNG dispensers, 6 CNG compressors, 3 gas dryers and 3 chillers, the CNG refueling station, located in the Narimanov district of Baku City, will be used by 300 buses of BakuBus LLC.

Leak-free gas distribution lines for a safer environment.

Nearly 2,000 meters of seamless tubing (LINK) along with two-ferule A-LOK® (LINK) fittings, manufactured by Parker Instrumentation Products Division in Europe, are among the key components that were assembled on site.

“As with all high-pressure gas supply systems, ensuring environmental safety, CNG distribution has been a top priority for Azpetrol. This, we are able to ensure by providing pipes and fittings that are specifically designed to provide leak-free connections along highly pressurized distribution lines.” Murad Jafarov, Parker’s Azerbaijan Area Manager.

Superior corrosion resistance

Not only do Parker’s CNG elements ensure leak-free distribution, but they are also made to resist the effect corrosive from exposure to the elements over a long period of time. The components are also robust enough to resist vibration generation when using underground pipe lines. Although this was the first time we worked with Parker, we were already familiar with their CNG vehicle products. As well as within of the extensive CNG refueling infrastructure around the world, which now includes the recent bus refueling station in Azerbaijan. The presence of Parker’s components on site has assured us that the risk of gas leaks and the related environmental impact have been kept to a minimum for many years now.” Elchin Mammadov, Head of Supply Department at Azpetrol.
